We are home - sweet home!
Today has been one very looonnnng day - when you start in China and are ahead of your destination in the way of time zones, you live through many hours over again. We left our hotel room on Dec 13th at 5:10am China time (3:10pm CST on 12/12) - flew out of Guangzhou at 8:30am (6:30pm cst), reconnected in Tokyo with take off towards Minneapolis at 3:30pm Tokyo time (2:30pm china, 12:30am cst). We landed in Minn on Dec 13th, 11:15am ..... but we left Tokyo at 2:30pm china time on Dec 13th ..... 3hours "after" we landed in Minn. That date line thing is fun - today we actually had/have 38 hours to "live" on Dec 13th. Of course we lost that same amount of time when we went to China, but losing it isn't as strange as reliving hours over again on the same date in time.
Now is time for sleep. We will post again tomorrow.
