Monday morning, Dec 4

We had a restless night. Sarabeth slept fitfully, and therefore so did we. We discovered that she is a teeth grinder and occasionally a thumb sucker. She tossed and turned quite a bit. With the combination of excitement over the gotcha, Sarabeth's restlessness and still being jet lagged, we each got only a few hours sleep.

Today, we have our appointments at the provincial adoption office to sign all the papers and also our notary interview, where we will have to promise never to abandon or mistreat our new daughter. After that, we plan to visit the local shopping establishments so we can stock up on Sarabeth's wardrobe. We only brought a few things for her because we weren't too sure of her sizes, so today we will get her a few more things to wear.

Sarabeth had a very good breakfast. She, in fact, can chew! What a relief. She takes very small bites and occasionally gags. She has a difficult time with anything crunchy and appears to have a swallowing defect of some kind. All these things will be worked out once we get home. For breakfast, she had 2 pieces of watermelon, a slice of pear, some soggy cheerios and a bowl of congee with ground pork.

Have a wonderful Sunday night as we begin our Monday. Keep in touch via the comments link! We enjoy hearing from you all.
