On to Guangzhou- Hooray!

Today is Friday and we expect to receive Sarabeth's passport at 10:30 this morning and then its off to Guangzhou at 4:20 this afternoon. We can't wait to get there. It will be warmer (we hope) as the weather in Nanchang has been very dreary- overcast, misty and cold every day. Guangzhou is in the far southeast corner of China, near Hong Kong- with (hopefully) Florida type weather!

Yesterday, we went to see Sarabeth's "finding spot" as they say in China (rather than "abandonment site"). I think its an excellent idea to use that site as a positive in her life (finding) rather than as a negative (abandon).

We went out for dinner on our own last night, to the same restaurant as the family dinner Wednesday evening. The food was again very good, and also very economical compared to the hotel buffet. The 3 of us filled ourselves on beef and beans, rice, dumpling/mushroom soup, garlicy broccoli and watermelon for 65 yuan (about $7). Not too bad!

We'll post again once we get to Guangzhou. Only 5 more days till we come home!!!

I, too, like the finding spot idea. :-) We are adopting a 10.5 boy and we will probably won't have the opportunity to see his Chinese finding spot. Our finding spot will be right there at gotcha day.
Have a good trip. My prayers are with you.
